PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that patterning is difficult because of instability of a cathode in a conventional simple matrix type organic EL display device. SOLUTION: A process of manufacture of an organic EL display device simultaneously performs patterning of a cathode 4 and transferring of a light emitting layer 5 by a transferring method using a laser beam, simplifies the process and improves display performance.
