DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR PROCESSING HIERARCHIAL KNOWLEDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine how a certain concept/knowledge is correct by using a concept hierarchy thesaurus from limited concepts/knowledge. SOLUTION: This device comprises a hierarchy storage means 104 for storing a hierarchial structure between a plurality of concepts; a knowledge storage means 103 for storing concepts/knowledge each comprising a set of one of the concepts and knowledge about the one of the concepts; a certainty storage means 105 for storing the certainty with which each concept/knowledge stored in the knowledge storage means is stretched to another concept belonging to a position different from a position in the hierarchy structure to which the concept included in the concept/knowledge belongs; an accepting means 101 for accepting the concepts/knowledge each comprising a set of a certain concept and a certain knowledge in order to calculate the reliability of the concept/knowledge; and a calculation means 102 for calculating the reliability of the accepted concept/knowledge on the basis of the position of the certain concept in the hierarchy structure accepted by the accepting means and the certainty.
