PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing simply and inexpensively a material showing stable LPR absorption and usable as various sensors such as a biosensor. SOLUTION: This optical fiber is a metal particle-polymer complex optical fiber formed by immobilizing a metal particle-polymer complex constituted of metal particles and a polymer on the tip surface of a light guide part.
