PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency cooking device provided with a steam generating means capable of variably controlling an amount of evaporation, and capable of quickly determining a malfunction of boiling without water of a supply water pan without deteriorating evaporation performance. SOLUTION: The high frequency cooking device is composed such that a heat transfer element 4e built in with a plurality of sheathed heaters 4c and 4d which are heating elements is closely attached to the supply water pan 4b, stable variable control of the amount of evaporation is achieved by using temperature information of a thermistor provided on the heat transfer element 4e and energizing the plurality of sheathed heaters 4c and 4d, and easy water catchment and positive evaporation can be carried out even when a water amount of the supply water pan 4b is small.
