PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a difference between a temperature in a heating chamber and the temperature displayed with a microcomputer when the temperature in the heating room is displayed at the time of preheating of a heater, in such a manner that the correction value is adjusted with the time from the start of such preheating. SOLUTION: The heating cooker of the present invention comprises a heating chamber 16 wherein foods are accommodated; a heater 17 as a heating source for heating the inside of the heating chamber 16 and the foods; a means which controls the heater; a detecting means 18 which detects the inside temperature of the heating chamber 16 (hereinafter referred to as thermistor); and a display part 19 which displays the temperature in the heating chamber 16. After the temperature in the heating chamber 16 is detected by the thermistor 18 at the time of preheating of the heater, the temperature detected is transmitted to a microcomputer (referred to as micon) and then made into data by the micon. The period of time after preheating of the heater is divided into some stages. A value to be corrected using the time during which the heater is preheating as a parameter is obtained by the micon 20 , and the value obtained is added to the data on the inside temperature of the heating chamber 16. The temperature is displayed in the display part 19 as the temperature inside the heating chamber 16. Thus, the accurate temperature in the heating chamber 16 can be displayed in the display part 19.
