PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket, a connecting metal piece, a metal joint for construction and a joint method for wooden members for construction by which the transportation efficiency and the workability are improved, and a horizontal wooden member is joined to a column more firmly by pressing a butt end face of the wooden member against the colum. SOLUTION: The joint method for the wooden members for construction using the metal joint comprises a process for locking a receiving bolt 62 attached to a beam 5 with a cogging part 24 of the bracket 2 of an erected column 4. It further comprises a process for moving the beam 5 to the column to abut the butt end face 55 of the beam 5 against the column 4 by fitting drift pins 64 into drift pin holes 36a, 36b of the connecting metal piece 3 by the intermediary of connecting holes 29a, 29b of the bracket 2.
