RED-EMITTING PHOSPHOR, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND EMITTER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a red-emitting phosphor having a short luminescence lifetime and therefore being capable of coping with high-speed response and to provide an emitter comprising a fluorescent lamp capable of high-speed response. SOLUTION: The red-emitting phosphor is prepared by replacing Al ions of a composition containing an Al compound, a Ba compound, and an Mg oxide by Ga ions and using Eu as an activator, and more particularly, it is represented by Ba(1-x)EuxO-MgO-Al(10-y)GayO17(wherein 02+ions as a luminescent center material.
