PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide film roll packing method capable of eliminating defective appearance including deformation such as wrinkles formed on a roll surface caused by moisture absorption and defective appearance caused by impacts or the like during the transport. SOLUTION: In the polyimide film roll packing method, the film roll is packed by using six transparent side plates for the six planes or partially not using side plates for some of the planes, and a sheet material consisting of a metallic material is disposed outside the roll.
