PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain saw improved in operability and cutting properties even in any work state. SOLUTION: In the chain saw equipped with a chain saw main body 1 and the guide bar 2 and saw chain 3 attached to this main body and constituted so as to hold the saw chain 3 in a freely sliding state by the guide bar 2, a guide 4, which has a first guide 4a for restricting a material to be cut formed to the upper part of the leading end thereof in the state attached to the guide bar 2, a second guide 4b for restricting the material to be cut formed to the lower part of the rear end thereof and a third guide 4c for preventing the contact of another matter with the saw chain 3 formed to the leading end part thereof, is provided to the leading end part of the guide bar 2.
