PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an empty container crushing machine capable of efficiently flattening an empty container. SOLUTION: In the empty container crushing machine in which a pressure receiving block 1 is arranged on a lower side, a pressurizing block 2 is arranged on an upper side facing the pressure receiving block, and a barrel portion between a top plate and a bottom plate of prismatic or cylindrical empty container 11 transversely placed on the pressure receiving block is held between the pressure receiving block and the pressurizing block, and compressed and deformed, the pressurizing block is supported in a rocking manner in the direction across the pressurizing direction, the pressurizing block comprises a first pressurizing unit 2A to perform primary compressive deformation in the direction across the axis S of the barrel portion by applying the pressure to a side surface of the barrel portion of the empty container, and a second pressurizing unit 2B to perform secondary compressive deformation in the axial direction of the empty container subjected to the primary compressive deformation by applying the pressure to the top plate or the bottom plate of the empty container, and further comprises an operation means 8 to rock the pressurizing block to the pressurizing positions of the first pressurizing unit and the second pressurizing unit.
