DESULFURIZATION OF GASES FOR GASEOUS FUELS TREATMENT OR ODOUR CONTROL

A method for better sulfur compounds removal from gas streams by using modem liquid phase oxidation process is disclosed. The present invention relates to treating: large gaseous fuels streams, small biogas streams, as well as to control odour problems for streams of biogas or vent air etc; it is for: removing hydrogen sulfide and organic sulfur compounds from the gas or air stream, organic sulfur compounds from the spent regeneration air and the solution impurities & and degradation products from the by-product elemental sulfur. Three solutions are to be used: first one to desulfurize gas stream, and the second solution to treat elemental sulfur. The spent second solution is recycled to the first solution for gas stream treatment. The third solution is also used to lower the siloxanes content of the desulfurized biogas. By­product: elemental sulfur is dry -so no centrifuge or press is needed .
