<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that uneven rotation of a photoreceptor hardly occur by preventing the velocity fluctuation of paper from being transmitted to the photoreceptor, and jitters and a joint level difference hardly occur in the case writing devices are connected and used in a staggered arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus for forming an image on an image carrier 5 and transferring the image formed on the image carrier to a transfer material 8 transported by transporting means 11a and 11b, the linear velocity of the image carrier 5 is set higher than that of the transfer material 8 at a transfer position (transfer part) 12. Then, the image carrier 5 is not pulled by the transfer material 8, and the velocity fluctuation of the transfer material is not transmitted to the image carrier. Thus the uneven rotation of the image carrier hardly occurs, and the jitter and the joint level difference hardly occurs in the case the writing devices are disposed in the staggered arrangement. Besides, the image carrier surface is rubbed by the transfer material due to the velocity difference between the image carrier and the transfer material, and hence the occurrence of toner-filming is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
