<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce radiatioin noise mainly consisting of electric field component caused by the resonance phenomenon of a parallel flat plate at a specific frequency when a cable is disposed between a printer unit and a reader unit in a separable electrophotographic device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic device, an operation part cable excites the parallel flat plate formed by the metal housing of the upper face of the printer unit and the metal housing of the lower face of a reader unit. Thereby, an increase in radiated noise caused by the resonance phenomenon of the parallel flat plate which occurs at a specific frequency determined by the size of each metal housing can be restrained by a very simple structure without using expensive components such as a shield cable or ferrite core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
