<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a recording medium (a CD or the like) with high accuracy under the condition that the number of process repeating is limited and the number of pulse patterns that are corrected is limited. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing process of a recording medium having a first region such as a TOC region, for example in which the frequency of recording data strings become a fixed pattern is high and a second region such as a program region (an audio data region), for example in which recording data strings are generated in a random pattern and the frequency of random patterns become a fixed pattern is low, edge correction is individually conducted for the first and the second regions. In the other words, pulse edge corrections are conducted for the first and the second regions employing respective first pattern correction information and second pattern correction information, wherein the first pattern correction information is generated by analyzing the play back signals of the first region of the manufactured recording medium and the second pattern correction information is generated by analyzing the play back signals of the second region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
