<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for radiating heat in a fluid ejector head. <P>SOLUTION: A thermally-conductive fluid ejector carriage device is used for radiating the heat from a thermal fluid ejector module in a fluid injection unit. The thermally-conductive fluid ejector carriage device is molded from a polymer or a polymer material including at least one thermally-conductive filler material. The thermal fluid ejector module is brought into contact with a thermally-conductive polymer carriage so as to radiate the heat. The polymer can also be a high-thermal-conductivity polymer. The method for manufacturing the thermally-conductive polymer carriage comprises a step for at least partially forming the carriage from the polymer including the thermally-conductive filler material, and a step for bringing the thermally-conductive polymer carriage into contact with the fluid ejector module. A method for using the thermally-conductive fluid ejector carriage device comprises a step for constructing a heat flow passage from the fluid ejector module to the atmosphere through the thermally-conductive fluid ejector carriage device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
