PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to efficiently search desired information while grasping the overall structure of document data.

SOLUTION: A display device 101 is provided with: a first display part 115 which displays documents for each block; a second display part 116 which displays information; a user instruction processing part 110 which accepts information to specify any of those blocks; and a control part 109 which controls the second display part 116 to display simplified data to identify each of those blocks, and controls the first display part 115 to display the block to be specified with the information accepted by the user instruction processing part 110.
