PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical lens which can be fabricated cost effectively and precisely and can correct optical aberrations. SOLUTION: A cylindrical lens having a refractive optical element and a diffractive optical element is used in order to provide a cylindrical lens that can preferably be fabricated cost effectively and precisely, and in the case of which optical aberrations and defects in semiconductor diode laser arrangements can be corrected.
