PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side rail for beds and an auxiliary implement of the same capable of being easily removed and superior in safety even in the case that a plurality of the side rails are mounted to one side part of a bed. SOLUTION: A frame part 11a of a side rail body 11 is made of cylindrical pipe materials, and the radii of curvature of its corner parts are approximately equal to one another. The inner circumferential side of the frame part 11a is provided with fence parts 11b formed by the parallel arrangement of a plurality of vertically extended pipe materials. A lower part of the frame part 11a is provided with a pair of leg parts 11c engaged with a side frame of a bed. A corner spacer 2 is bent in an L shape to be fitted over a vertical part and a horizontal part of an upper corner part of the side rail body 11, and the radius of the outside curvature of the bent part is smaller than that of the corner parts of the frame part 11a.
