<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal electrical field mode liquid crystal display device and its manufacturing method that not only improves aperture ratio but also simplifies a manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The horizontal electrical field mode liquid crystal display device includes a gate line and a data line defining a pixel area formed on a first substrate, a thin-film transistor connected with the gate line and the data line, pixel electrode having many pixel electrode bars connected with the thin-film transistor formed on the center of the pixel area, common electrode having many common electrode bars that are arranged alternately and differently with many pixel electrode bars and formed so that the gate line, the data line and the thin-film transistor may overlap, a color filter layer formed in the lower part of the pixel electrode and the common electrode, a second substrate arranged at a fixed interval with the first substrate and a liquid crystal layer injected between the first and second substrates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
