<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize memory resource effectively by processing a unicast packet of really high urgency and high importance for its own device preferentially. <P>SOLUTION: A receiving buffer 2 stores a packet temporarily, a packet memory 4 has a plurality of memory areas each capable of storing one packet stored in the receiving buffer 2, a packet memory residual capacity managing section 5 manages the empty memory area in the packet memory 4, and a transfer control section 7 performs transfer control of a packet from the receiving buffer 2 to the packet memory 4 based on sending end information extracted at a packet information extracting section 3 and the empty memory area being managed at the packet memory residual capacity managing section 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
