<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display communication apparatus which can assure character communication compatibility with a counterparty unit which can stereoscopically display a character and which does not have a stereoscopic display function as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In the stereoscopic image display communication apparatus, the dot data (frame 1) of a "rock" and the dot data (frame 2) of "scissors" are incorporated even in a stereoscopic non-corresponding apparatus to a code "0000". And, a file called out by the code "0000" in the stereoscopic corresponding apparatus is further added with solidity as additional information for stereoscopic view. When the code "0000" is transmitted to the stereoscopic non-corresponding apparatus, the animation plane view display changed from the "rock" to the "scissors" of the image is performed.
