PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog divider with much simpler circuit configurations and highly precise arithmetic operation. SOLUTION: This analog divider comprises a sawtooth wave generator 1 which inputs an input voltage Ex equivalent to a divisor as an input signal, and generates a sawtooth wave E1 with a peak value equivalent to the input voltage Ex, a comparator 2 which inputs an input voltage Ey equivalent to a dividend as an input signal, and compares the input voltage Ey with the sawtooth wave E1, and outputs a pulse signal E2 with a duty rate corresponding to the comparison result and a smoothing circuit 4 which averages the pulse signal E2, and outputs it as an output voltage Eo showing the quotient of division.
