PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable polyester film useful for a full label of a bottle which hardly wrinkles, hardly has mottles and hardly deforms due to shrinkage and hardly suffers defects such as fold of a label upon shrinking with an elapse of time after printing. SOLUTION: The multilayer heat shrinkable polyester film comprises a layer A containing 20 mole% or more of a polyethylene terephthalate unit in the total polyester resin component and a layer B containing 16 mole% or more of the total of one or more non-crystalline monomers in the total polyester resin component, and the heat shrinking factor of the polyester film is 5-60% in the main shrinking direction with treatment at 70°C for 5 seconds, and 10% or less in the direction perpendicular to the shrinking direction after treatment at 85°C for 5 seconds.
