PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal battery capable of preventing malfunction from occurring below a predetermined ignition current by improving a contact state between a holding body and a tubular member in a spark plug, and thermal conductivity from the holding body to the tubular member. SOLUTION: The spark plug 3 in this thermal battery comprises the holding body 14 for holding a pair of lead wires 13, a bridge circuit wire 12 for connecting tips of the pair of lead wires to each other, a priming composition 11 covering the bridge circuit wire, and the tubular member 15 for housing the holding body and the priming composition; and is provided with an adhesion layer 17 having thermal conductivity between the holding body and the tubular member.
