PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a starch mold comprising using a starch mold for molding food, by which a large and deep starch mold not remarkably reducing productivity is formed; and to provide food molded with the starch mold. SOLUTION: The method for forming the starch mold comprises the following process: pressing a mother die against starch followed by causing movement on the mother die relative to a container charged with starch; and thereafter pulling the mother die out of the starch.
