PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor switching a read mode and an image processing mode in accordance with a position of an original placed on one original platen to thereby automatically set the read mode and the image processing mode without being affected by the presence / absence of a mounted ADF. SOLUTION: The image processor 10 includes: the original platen on which the original is placed; an original read section 13 for reading the original; an original position detection section 15-2 for detecting the position of the original placed on the original platen; and a read mode selection section 16-1 for selecting the read mode on the basis of a result of the detection of the original position detection section 15-2.
