PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming device which can obtain a fixed image of a stabilized quality by stabilizing the peeling when fixing a toner image on a recording medium which is hard to peel and removing the factor causing uneven gross on a fixed image. SOLUTION: This fixing device has a heater roller 1 and a pressure roller 6 in contact with each other to form a nip N, and fixes the image by inserting the recording medium P having an unfixed toner image T into the nip N. It has a peeling means consisting of a peeling guide plate 7 and a gas nozzle 10 to jet out the pulsing compressed gas towards the gap between the heater roller 1 and the closer side of the guide plate to peel the recording medium P passing the nip N from the roller 1. Further, it has a gas heater 9 to heat the compressed gas to be jetted or already jetted from the above nozzle. The image forming device uses this fixing device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
