PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for monitoring remaining quantity of a liquefied gas, capable of precisely detecting the remaining quantity of the liquefied gas in a bulk storage tank. SOLUTION: The system 1 for monitoring the remaining quantity of the liquefied gas includes a float type level gauge 7 attached to the bulk storage tank 4, a potentiometer 73 built in an indication display part 72 thereof, and a remaining quantity monitoring device 8 receiving the resistance value of the potentiometer 73. An indicator 72a of the level gauge 7 is adjusted to a prescribed position, and the resistance value of the potentiometer 73 is read; the resistance value ratio is calculated from the resistance value; and the error between the value of the indicator and the resistance value ratio is obtained as the correction value. In actual measurements, the corrected resistance value ratio is obtained, in which the calculated resistance value ratio is corrected by the correction value and removed of errors, and the remaining quantity of the liquefied gas is calculated from a conversion table, using this. The remaining quantity of the liquefied gas in the bulk storage tank 4 can be detected precisely, even when there are errors in the value of the indicator and the resistance value ratio.
