PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice machine enhancing deicing capacity to adjust actual time required for deicing to appropriate deicing time even under the action of ambient temperature variation or disturbance of an attachment or the like to an ice making body. SOLUTION: Based on data showing the relation of deicing time-deicing water temperature, and a reference deicing water temperature Ts, the target deicing water temperature T of deicing water in a deicing water tank 41 is computed from the deicing time of a preceding cycle. If the deicing water temperature is less than the target deicing water temperature T, a heat exchange pump 52 installed near the peripheral wall of the deicing water tank 41 is driven to force-feed deicing water to a heat exchanger 54, and the deicing water heated by heat exchange in the heat exchanger 54 is returned into the deicing water tank 41 to raise the temperature of deicing water in the deicing water tank 41.
