PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method and device for disposing a tubular body, by which a segment can be assembled without losing space within the tubular body, without deteriorating workability even in the tubular body of a small diameter. SOLUTION: In the method for disposing a tubular body, a horizontal hole 2 is formed in a natural ground 37 by an excavator 1 having a thrusting jack 5 at the rearward side, and the tubular body 4 formed by assembling the segment 3 in the horizontal hole 2 is successively arranged at the forward side of an existing tubular body 4. At the forward side of the existing tubular body 4, the end surface of the segment 3 is supported and the segment 3 is assembled to form a tubular body 4. Subsequently, the tubular body 4 is pushed with the thrusting jack 5 to thrust the excavator 1 by reaction. A plurality of tubular bodies 4 are arranged in the horizontal hole 2 by the repetition of this procedure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
