PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure for a structure, which has good workability by virtue of a simple constitution, and which has a double pit equipped with a manhole enabling the entrance and exit of an operator for maintenance. SOLUTION: This foundation structure of the structure 1 comprises: a pile foundation which is equipped with a plurality of pile bodies joined to each column of an upper structure so as to support the upper structure; and a footing beam 9 which is equipped with an outer peripheral beam 10 for connecting leg parts of outer peripheral columns 4 to each other, and an internal beam 11 for connecting leg parts of internal columns 5 or those of the internal column 5 and the outer peripheral column 4 to each other. A floor slab 2a is placed directly on the footing beam 9; sub-slab concrete 13 is placed under the beam; and the double pit 12 is formed in an area which is surrounded by the outer peripheral beam 10. Though the area of the double pit 12 is divided into a plurality of parts by the internal beam 11, a beam depth is smaller than that of the outer peripheral beam 10, and an upper end surface is arranged in such a manner as to be flush with the outer peripheral beam 10. This enables an under-beam space 11b to be formed between a lower end surface of the internal beam and the sub-slab concrete 13 and used as the manhole and an equipment piping route.
