PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing control key for an apparatus box group, which contributes to simplified arrangement and custody of keys, and allows the owner to carry the single key with him without paying attention to difference between two systems of new and old cylinder locks. SOLUTION: The opening/closing control key is provided for the apparatus box group which has mixed therein the two systems of cylinder locks, i.e. a first system cylinder lock and a second system cylinder lock, in terms of the arrangement of code pins and driver pins with respect to a keyhole, or the shape etc. of an inner edge of each code pin. The key has thick portions and thin portions continuously arranged in a plate width direction in a cross section, and a recess for a code, applicable to the first system cylinder lock, is formed at an edge of the thin portion, while a recess for a code, applicable to the second system cylinder lock is formed on a single side or both sides of the thick portion.
