PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hot repair of a coke oven by which the blocking of a port in a combustion chamber can be sufficiently prevented while reducing the cost for the repair. SOLUTION: This method for the hot repair of the coke oven, carrying out the reload of a brick material comprises installing an inflammable plate-shaped member burning at a temperature not lower than 400°C and not higher than 800°C so as to cover hole parts in the upper part of a port part of a piping part in a combustion chamber, where the port part is constituted as a laminate of the bricks having the hole parts, and burning down the plate-shaped member when raising the temperature of the port part after finishing the reload of the brick material.
