<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrally process a black-and-white binary slip and a color slip at a high recognition rate. <P>SOLUTION: Color information is compared for a corresponding constituting element, for instance the corresponding cell, corresponding ruled line or corresponding character or the like of a table frame, of a registered slip and a retrieval slip defined as an evaluation object.
