ASCENDING OR DESCENDING DOOR GLASS PROTECTION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ascending or descending door glass protection structure for preventing damage of foreign materials, door frame and door glass driving mechanism by detecting positively a held state of the foreign material even under a case in which the foreign material is held between a slant portion of a vertical side of the door frame and the side end of the door glass corresponding to the slant portion.

SOLUTION: This is an ascending or descending door glass protection structure in which a door glass 4 ascends or descends in a glass run 10 fitted into a door frame 20 of an automobile door, the door frame 20 has a door frame slant portion 24 where at least the upper part of a vertical side 23 is expanded downward, a contact type sensor 30 is arranged near an opening of substantial U-shaped section of the door frame vertical side 23 and then the ascending or descending of the door glass 4 is controlled through detection of the contact type sensor 30.
