<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a sound absorbing member while protecting the sound absorbing member from the outside and to prevent a lowering of sound absorbing performance of the sound absorbing member. <P>SOLUTION: This duct 12 is composed of an external cover member 40 formed of a suitable synthetic resin material and disposed to cover the sound absorbing member 30 mounted to a duct body 20, from the outside, and a spacer 50 supporting the outer surface of the sound absorbing member 30 in a contact state from the outside and partitioning a suitable space 52 between the sound absorbing member 30 and the external cover member 40. The spacer 50 is formed in thickness that can partition the space 52 from the synthetic resin material and functions as a support body for regulating the radial deformation of the sound absorbing member 30. Sound transmitted without being absorbed by the sound absorbing member 30 is gradually damped to disappear in the space 52 and hardly emitted to the outside of the duct body 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
