<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a backlight unit capable of reducing a cost for changing brightness by enabling the brightness to be easily changed. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of fixing parts 42 formed in concave shapes at a frame 12 are placed in a line with equal spaces, and a plurality of supporting members 46 are formed in a size fitting into the fixing parts 42, each 46 attached to the fixing part 42 in free detachment. A lamp connection member 22 is fixed to the frame 12 by attaching the supporting member 46 to the fixing part 42 of the frame 12 in a condition of holding the lamp connection member 22 formed by bending a conductive material. For example, the supporting members 46 in a condition supporting the lamp connection members 22 are selectively attached to every other fixing parts 42, with a fluorescent lamp 28 attached to each lamp connection member 22, whereby, brightness would be half as much as attaching the lamp connection members 22 to all the fixing parts 42 of the frame 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
