PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shared demodulation processing program or the like whereby the amount of entire processing in a demodulation section of a receiver capable of receiving both analog television broadcast and digital television broadcast is reduced so as to realize downsizing of the demodulation section and reduction in the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A shared demodulator 30 is provided with: an A/D converter section 18 for converting a signal Sch of a received channel extracted through a tuner section 12 into a digital signal Sd; and a broadcast type detection section 20 for detecting whether a television signal is a signal of the digital television broadcast or a signal of the analog television broadcast on the basis of the signal Sch at switching of the received channel (detection result St). Depending on the detection result St, a computer of the shared demodulator 30 applies the shared demodulation processing program for carrying out demodulation processing 60 for the digital television broadcast or demodulation processing 90 for the analog television broadcast to the digital signal Sd.
