PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparison and verification method between information visualized in a display area and information to be visualized that is included in an electronic signature. SOLUTION: In an electronic signature verification system comprising: verification software for verifying an electronic signature and capable of visualizing information included in the electronic signature and displaying the visualized information in a display area 62; and an information processing terminal 30 onto which the verification software is installed, the verification software reads the information included in the electronic signature for the visualization purpose from the electronic signature, expands the read information for the visualization purpose and the information visualized in the display area into a storage section of the information processing terminal 30, compares the information that is read for the visualization purpose and expanded in the storage section of the information processing terminal 30, with the information extracted and visualized in the display area, and authenticates the validity of the electronic signature only when the comparison result indicates coincidence.
