PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of acquiring a good quality image in which dark time noise is suppressed while satisfying a predetermined photography interval at the time of interval photography. SOLUTION: The imaging device 100A comprises an imaging element 105 arranged on the optical path 114 of an object being observed by a microscope 200, a shutter 104 for making a switch between projection of the observation image onto the imaging element 105 and interception of light, a memory 109 for storing a bright time signal being delivered from the imaging element 105 under a state where light is not intercepted, a memory 110 for storing a dark time signal being delivered from the imaging element 105 under a state where light is intercepted, a memory control section 108 for controlling read/write of the bright time signal and the dark time signal for the memories 109 and 110, an adding section 111 for subtracting the dark time signal from the bright time signal, an operating section 101 for inputting directions by a user, and a system control section 102 performing general control of the device.
