PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle mounted controller for adjusting the length of an antenna automatically to an optimal state depending on the propagation state of radio wave. SOLUTION: The vehicle mounted controller comprises: a telescopic antenna being mounted on a vehicle; a position detecting means for detecting the current position of the vehicle; a positional data storage means for storing the position of a station transmitting a radio wave which can be received by the antenna; a distance operating means for calculating the distance between the transmitting station and the vehicle based on the position of the transmitting station and the current position of the vehicle; and an antenna length adjusting means for telescoping the antenna depending on that distance.
