PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a digital content from a digital content output apparatus by an operation method depending on a portable terminal carried by a user without depending on the digital content output apparatus. SOLUTION: The portable terminal (20) acquires content information for a portable terminal related with one or more digital contents in an external storage device (21), and generates and displays content selection GUI for selecting a digital content desired by a user from among one or more digital contents based on the content information for the portable terminal, and transmits selection content information for identifying the digital content desired by the user selected by using the content selection GUI to a digital content output apparatus (30). The output apparatus (30) extracts the digital content identified from the selection content information received from the portable terminal (20) from the identical external storage device (21) and displays the extracted digital content.
