PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus capable of attaining high-speed printing by transmitting heat to a toner and a recording material in a short time. SOLUTION: Regarding the fixing apparatus provided with a fixing roller 31 coming in contact with an unfixed image on the recording material 91 and a pressure roller 32 coming in press contact with the fixing roller 31, and for fixing the unfixed image on the recording material 91 to the recording material 91 by holding and transporting the recording material 91 by the fixing roller 31 and the pressure roller 32, the following expression is established between the heat transmission coefficient K1 of the pressure roller 32 and the heat transmission coefficient K2 of the fixing roller 31; (100K1)≤(K2)≤(320K1).
