PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix axial positions of a piston rod with respect to both of advancing and retracting directions in a fluid pressure cylinder. SOLUTION: Two lock units 29, 129 capable of being operated in a fastened state to be fastened to the piston rod 14 and a released state for releasing the fastening are assembled in a lock unit accommodating part 33 in a state of being axially opposite to each other. Two lock pistons 45, 145 are mounted in a state of being extended in the radial direction of the piston rod 14 reciprocatably between an operating position to keep the corresponding lock unit 29, 129 in the fastened state and a retracted position to keep the lock units in the released state. Two lock pistons 45, 145 are successively operated to fasten two lock units 29, 129 corresponding to the axial movement at an advancing side and a retracting side of the lock pistons 45, 145, whereby the axial position of the piston rod 14 can be fixed to the both directions.
