Process to manufacture corrosion-proofed automotive frame member from flame-aluminised sheet steel

In a process to manufacture a corrosion-proofed steel component part of an automotive frame, the component is made of sheet steel and is of varying thickness. The initial sheet steel material of uniform thickness is reduced by prior art rolling and flame-aluminised, creating an inter-metallic phase. The component is cut as sheet metal from the resulting panel and is subsequently hot-pressed and hardened in the press.
