The router bit has a head (3) with several cutting edges (4) and a separate shaft (5) with an outer thread (7) inserted into an opening (14) with an inner thread as well as into an opening provided at the chucks. A spring supported polygonal locking element (13, 15) is accommodated inside a polygonal coaxial bore (16) extending with a smaller diameter (17) to the upper surface of the head (3) and in the opposite direction (21) through the shaft (5) for the accommodation of a pulling element.
