<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC tag and a tag detection system that enable not only easy detachment and also replacement of the IC tag, with respect to a target article that comes in various shapes, but also in various storage states and arrangement states, and enable automatic management even of position, when such mounted targets are arrayed. <P>SOLUTION: The tag detection system comprises the IC tags 10 and a tag detection device 30 capable of contactless intercommunication. As attachment means for the IC tags 10, an elastic rubber band 13 is adopted. The tag detection device 30 has a plurality of communication antennas 32 set in a row, on each shelf 31.
