<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization apparatus and deodorization method without requiring heating, a large scaled apparatus, or replacement of an adsorption layers, while applicable to life environment. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The deodorization apparatus is provided with: the adsorption layers packed with an adsorption material; gas supply pipes supplying malodor component-containing gas to the adsorption layers; and a decomposition and removing means having an ozone generator and circulation lines for circulating and supplying ozone-containing gas to the adsorption layers and decomposing and removing malodor components adsorbed in the adsorption material by the ozone-containing gas circulatingly supplied. (2) The deodorization apparatus is provided with two or more adsorption layers, a selector valve for switching flow of the malodor component-containing gas to the respective adsorption layers, and a selector valve for switching flow of ozone-containing gas to the adsorption layers.(3) The deodorization method decomposes and removes the malodor component adsorbed in the adsorption material by circulating and supplying the ozone-containing gas to the adsorption layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
