<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution which selectively and efficiently dissolves and extracts a noble metal from a member made of the noble metal, does not contain a toxic substance such as a cyanide, does not cause a problem such as apparatus corrosion and environmental pollution due to the sublimate, is safe and has high liquid stability, and to provide a method for efficiently dissolving and recovering the noble metal in a high yield with the use of the solution. <P>SOLUTION: The solution comprises iodine and/or iodide ions, and one or more organic solvents selected from the group consisting of a polyhydric alcohol, a polyether and a cyclic lactone. The dissolving/recovering method comprises contacting the noble metal with the solution to dissolve the noble metal into the solution, and adding a reducing agent to the solution to precipitate and recover the noble metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
