PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform cleaning by mounting a cleaning blade on a cover cap for protecting an ejection surface of a line head. SOLUTION: A plurality of protrusive pieces 72 of the cleaning blade 64, which is provided on an ejection surface protecting cover 61, each comes into contact with the ejection surface 50, and each wipes out the ejection surface 50, so as to properly clean the ejection surface 50. The protrusions 72 of the cleaning blade 64 are arranged in such a manner as to partially face one another in the moving direction of the cover cap 62, so that the cleaning can be performed along with the movement of the cover cap.
